 Polymer composites and Nano-Composites.  Carbon nanomaterials filled conductive composites.  Polymer-Clay nanocomposites.  CNT and Graphene based nanocomposites for supercapacitor applications.  Supercapacitors are complementary to batteries, since they present higher power density, higher charge-discharge rates, better cycle stability, and safer operation than batteries. Nevertheless, the energy density of supercapacitors is lower than the one in batteries. Consequently, it has raised the question of how to increase the energy density of supercapacitors without deteriorating its power density and safety.  Nanosilica based polymer nanocomposites for superhydrophobic surface applications for improvement of the performance of solar panels.

Awards and Honors
 Honors and Awards:  Bronze Medal from Midnapore college for 1st class in B.Sc examination in 2001  Fast Track young scientist award for the year 2012 -2016 from DST, Govt. of India. This award contained a three years independent project (i.e. under own principal investigatorship) to implement a few innovative ideas on Supercapacitor research in India.
